In an unexpected announcement at WWD's Retail & Apparel CEO Summit, designer Olivier Rousteing announced that Balmain will be returning to the world of couture this coming January.

"Looking to bring back the Parisian DNA," Rousteing excitingly shared the news with a committed energy to live up to the task. Throughout his discussion this morning, he commented on the importance of timelessness, the quality you present and knowing your customers. A majority of the modern Balmain hype comes from Rousteing's ready-to-wear collections that has coined the wearers of the fashion house his Balmain Army, so crafting an angle to give his couture the same esteem is something we are sure to draw from his debut couture effort.

Marking as the first time in 16 years Balmain has shown couture since Oscar de la Renta's departure in 2002, V are looking forward to this coming January as another name is added to the couture roster!
