After their first collaboration in December 2020 sold out within seconds, BAPE and Razer are back with another collection. As the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers, Razer looks to the iconic streetwear brand to design new apparel and peripherals. A Gaming Ape Spring Summer 2022 is double in size compared to the December 2020 collection. New designs and colorways are introduced, and the Razer Quartz is included in the collection for the first time.

“Riding on the success of our first partnership, we knew we had a high benchmark to meet, so we prioritized going above and beyond for our community with this new collection,” says Addie Tan, Associate Director of Business Development at Razer. “This time we are giving our fans more designs, more colorways, and more innovation. This summer, expect to turn some heads in the limited edition A Gaming Ape collection which truly straddles the two worlds of gaming and fashion.”

This season’s apparel mixes key BAPE motifs with Razer’s iconic gaming designs. The BAPE STA sneakers feature the famous BAPE shark on the soles and the star-shaped logo on the sides. Razer adds its personal touch by making these sneakers glow in the dark, radiating the brand’s signature green hue. The sneakers feature the signature BAPE camo print, but the Razer triple-headed snake logo sneaks into the mix, signifying the merge of both aesthetics.

The Gaming Ape head sports Razer’s Kraken headsets on the front of black and white fitted tees. The Gaming Ape head switches headsets to the Kraken Kitty on the slim feet Quartz and white tees. The camo Team tee rounds off the tee collection. The collaborative camo covers the tee, and a 93 print is on the back, a nod to the year BAPE was established.

The collection wouldn’t be complete without the classic Shark full-zip hoodie. The hoodie zips up to reveal the iconic shark head. The BAPE WGM motif is on the hoodie as well. Razer takes the design and makes it their own with the new Quartz version. The Razer exclusive edition has plush kitty ears, paying homage to the Kraken Kitties. Both hoodies feature an ‘A Gaming Ape’ embroidery patch as well.

Two styles of basketball shorts complete the apparel for the collection. Black basketball shorts feature the shark graphic print, while the Quartz shorts feature A Gaming Ape embroidery patch. Both pairs have the camo print design and can be paired with any of the collection’s tees.

It wouldn’t be a gaming collection without gaming equipment. BAPE and Razer design a new laptop sleeve, Razer Skins, and a keyboard and reimagine the Razer Iskur X. Made for 15” laptops, the new laptop sleeve is waterproof and has a built-in collaborative camo mouse mat. The new Razer Skins are only available for gamers in North America and China. They come in the collaborative camo print and are suitable for select Blade 15 models and the Apple MacBook Pro 13.

Gamers can now upgrade their Razer set up with the new BlackWidow V3 keyboard. As the world’s first mechanical gaming keyboard, this is a must-have for all gamers. For their previous collection, BAPE and Razer released the DeathAdder V2 mouse, Goliathus Speed mat, and Opus headsets. The new keyboard completes the collection and gives users a full BAPE x Razer setup.

For the Razer Iskur X, the collaborative came covers the ergonomic gaming chair. The chair comes in a black and Quartz colorway, allowing users to choose a style that fits their setup.
