The latest capsule from leading Scottish cashmere knitting brand, BARRIE, is a how-to on subtly deceiving the eye. And elegantly, so. Taking the classic design of the Oxford shirt — traditionally crafted out of cotton with a basket weave — BARRIE alters the prototype’s DNA, reworking the button down in a relaxed cashmere knit.

Inspired by the enduring style of said men’s Oxford shirt, the capsule features two shirt fits, a shirt dress, and matching boxer shorts, channeling an elegant nonchalance rooted in boyish chic. Traditional shirting styles and techniques are referenced throughout the collection, discreetly punctuated by the brand’s Jacquard thistle logo. Collars and cuffs feature a double-sided 100% cotton knit for added structure, and a set of matching scarves meticulously complete the look.

London based model, writer, and photographer, Laura Bailey, is the face of the campaign,  showcasing how each piece, crafted in a cool cotton and cashmere mix, is suited for both summer wear and winter layering. With hands tucked in pants pockets, Bailey, a longstanding contributor to British Vogue, is calm, cool, and collected, mimicking BARRIE’s painless sophistication with effortless ease.
