Behind The Scenes at Jonathan Cohen Fall/Winter 2020

Beautiful fabrics and drapery made with sustainability in mind.

Jonathan Cohen’s Fall/Winter 2020 runway show was an occasion not to be missed: full of beautiful new prints and textiles used in key pieces like a midi dress in glossy rose jacquard, the collection also reflects Cohen’s study and heavy experimentation with “gestural” draping. While dreaming up this beautiful, feminine collection, the designer has also kept our planet in mind: a variety of tunic tops, dresses and gowns were created from recycled nylon made from old fishing nets. In today’s environment, upcycling and recycling is the way to go — and the fact that designers like Jonathan Cohen choose to embark on this sustainability journey promises a better future for the society and our planet.
