BERLUTI UNVEILS SPRING/SUMMER 2022 COLLECTION
The enlarged and abstract “The Scritto” motif is the house’s new icon

Featuring multiple silhouettes that are both chic and modern, without abandoning its bootmaker universe of leathers, patinas and colors, Berluti’s Spring-Summer 2022 collection rewrites the house’s ready-to-wear style in a more relaxed and casual way.
To start, the iconic The Scritto motif has been fully enlarged to reinterpret the codes of the Maison. Originally hand-calligraphed on shoes and leather goods, it is now reproduced in giant format with silk inserts and embroidery stitches on nubuck jackets. It is also woven, knitted, or printed on windcheaters, jumpers, shirts or shorts.
A modern touch on men’s wardrobe, the new Berluti collection combines tradition and innovation, craftsmanship and creativity. Using comfortable and lightweight material, jackets feature supple and fluid silhouettes. “Shirt-jackets” with large patch pockets are paired with slightly baggy trousers to reinvent the suit. Trekking-style jackets in shearling, drawstring waist trousers, T-shirts slipped under the jacket and drawstring parkas in laminated leather reiterate a laidback tone. Sienna, eggplant or petrol, and softer grey and pastel shades are eye-catching while perfectly complementing each other and accentuate the leather details and finishes.
Accessories also reinterpreted the emblematic models of the house. With a tie-and-dye effect, Un jour and Toujours bags are in patinas, available in Beetle Green, Sapphire Blue and Duna. The SIGNATURE pattern canvas is transposed onto a herringbone weave, enhanced by Venezia leather finishes at the base, corners and tabs of different bags.
The emblematic leather of the Maison has been reinvented for a more casual and supple look in four models – Late Hour briefcase, Late Hour shopper, Lat Hour backpack and Late Hour pouch.
For shoes, the Alessandro and Andy styles are redesigned with draped effects and patinas on the instep. Both formal and casual, the uppers of various models are decorated with stitching that is traditionally used for shoemaking and assembling soles. Eden, a new line of ultra-comfortable shoes in supple leather, is introduced. A variety of sandals has expanded, playing out multiple straps with different and subtle patinas, reflecting the Maison’s DNA.
