Last night, the CFDA Awards 2022 took place in New York City. The award show is America’s biggest night for fashion — where the Council of Fashion Designers of America celebrates the most esteemed names in American fashion. The red carpet for the event was a highlight reel of major names in fashion, from celebrities to models to fashion industry veterans. 

Designers took the carpet wearing creations from their own labels, including up-and-coming designer Jackson Wiederhoeft in a slick cherry red corset with a tinsel skirt to match, as well as the iconic Diane Von Furstenberg whose look was covered in a print of her own face. Thom Browne was a guest-list favorite, being tapped by Janelle Monae for a fantastical opera coat, as well as Gigi Hadid who wore an amalgamation of tweed from the label’s Men’s Spring 2023 show along with the staple accessory of the season – a jockstrap. Some younger stars such as Kylie Jenner and Addison Rae, opted to wear vintage, whereas others wore designs from some rising designers, including Paloma Elesser in Luar, Amber Valleta in Conner Ives, and Julia Fox in Valerievi.
