Best-Dressed on the 2023 Critics Choice Awards Red Carpet

Timeless is the New Modern

Attendees at the 28th annual Critics Choice Awards came together to celebrate the best performances in film and TV this past Sunday, and they looked fabulous while doing it. While stand-up comic and host Chelsea Handler cracked a few gut-busting jokes, there was nothing humorous about the elegant ensembles that this year’s male attendees arrived in.

With all of the fashionable festivities taking place in the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, the event’s most stylish men showed up looking nothing less than dapper, and V has all the best looks.

Starting off strong, Andrew Garfield sports a monochromatic Zegna suit, Christian Louboutin loafers, and an Omega watch. While his suit has a classic fit, hugging him snug in all the right places, the crisp tan color of this ensemble makes it the perfect present-day red carpet look.

Causeway star Bryan Tyree Henry wowed in a vibrant purple suit. Paired with a stark white long-sleeve underneath and taupe loafers, Henry proves that neutrals are out, and color is very much back in. To top off the look, the actor wore numerous statement rings and a pink Boutonnière.

Jack Champion

Wearing a Dolce and Gabbana suit and Christian Louboutin shoes, Avatar: The Way of Water star Jack Champion showed up proving that black suits don’t have to be boring. His suit featured an ultra-high neckline with asymmetrical buttoning, while a classic white shirt and black tie could be seen peaking out.

Adorned in a BOSS by Hugo Boss velvet suit, Henry Golding is the epitome of elegance. The actor and TV host absolutely rocked this deep teal number, which stood out against a simple black turtleneck and patent leather shoes.

Comedian Billy Eichner wore an eye-catching maroon Berluti suit, styled with a black button-up, bow tie, and shoes, as well as a hint of wrist-candy.

Matt Smith

House of Dragon star, Matt Smith, wears an unbuttoned cream blazer, a collarless black button-up, black pants, and (you guessed it) black leather shoes. Even with a statement ring and a classic timepiece, his standout accessory is the simple black scarf laced around his neck.

Seth Rogan

Decked out in a chocolate brown Zegna suit, button-up shirt, and bow tie, Seth Rogan brings his A-game to the Critics Choice red carpet, proving that Hollywood’s favorite funny man is also fashionable. To finish this look off, he brilliantly pairs his black frames with patent leather shoes.

Soji Arai stuns in an asymmetrical black suit. The Pachinko star wore an exaggerated double-breasted suit jacket, a white button-up underneath, fitted black pants, and black leather dress shoes.

Proving yet again that black was the color of the night, James Marsden arrived in true Prince Charming fashion with a black suit jacket embellished with gold buttons. Underneath, Marsden wore a black t-shirt, while sporting black suit pants and loafers.
