Big Sean Releases Trailer to Announce Fifth Studio Album

“Detroit the mixtape deserves a sequel…feels right,” Big Sean wrote on Twitter

Detroit native and 5-time grammy-nominated rapper Big Sean has announced his first record in three years on his 32nd birthday. Detroit 2 will be the star’s fifth solo album with Hit-Boy and Young Thug already confirmed as contributors.

As a follow-up and homage to his hometown and mixtape 2012 Detroit, Big Sean released a trailer to announce the album, saying Detroit is “home…but more than a city…It’s for real a mentality.”

Though there’s no set release date for the album, it will be released via G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam Recordings.
