The #SELPINK collaboration is official!

After weeks of speculation about BLACKPINK’s new collaboration with a high-profile musician, Selena Gomez finally confirmed the news earlier this week! “So SO excited to announce @ygofficialblink and I have a new song coming out August 28th!” the singer wrote via Instagram and Twitter.

BLACKPINK and their label, YG Entertainment, also shared the exciting news on their official accounts.

“The two artists share a musical connection and have been fans of each other for a long time,” YG Entertainment stated. “Now, they have finally achieved what they have been dreaming of. BLACKPINK expressed their gratitude to Selena Gomez and are also very happy their fans can listen to the song soon.”

BLACKPINK’s first full album titled The Album is finally coming out on October 2. Earlier this year, the K-pop megastars collaborated with Lady Gaga on “Sour Candy” and they also broke YouTube’s record for the most viewed video within 24 hours with “How You Like That.” The group was also the first K-pop girl group to play Coachella.
