BLACKPINK’s Jisoo Announces Tracklist for Debut Solo Album

The fourth and final member of the South Korean girl group to go solo announces her debut tracklist via Twitter

Fans of South Korea’s wildly popular girl group, BLACKPINK, are days away from meeting Jisoo as a solo artist. Jisoo will be following in the footsteps of fellow band members Lisa (Lalisa Manobal), Rosé (Roseanne Park), and Jennie Kim as the fourth and final member of the superstar group to embark on a solo music journey.

The group first announced the endeavor to their 8.8 million Twitter followers on March 5th via a simple poster with a red cape artfully draped across a dewey field and the words “JISOO // COMING SOON // 2023.03.31”. The album will be released via YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK’s founders.

The poster announcing the official album and track titles shows Jisoo peeking out at the viewer from behind a red sheer curtain, donning a leather beret and red lipstick, peering at the camera with eyes that say “get excited.”

Following a succession of beautifully shot promotional imagery, the tracklist for the highly anticipated debut was announced on March 27th. The single album, autobiographically titled ME, will consist of two singles, “꽃 (FLOWER)” and “All Eyes on Me” – both of which will be available for listening on March 31st.

Although BLACKPINK fans are no strangers to solo debuts, the enthusiasm never dwindles: the tweet announcing Jisoo’s new debut garnered 480k likes and 238k retweets, the excitement for this release is palpable.

And, since no K-Pop group does anything small, the release has been highly promoted on all of the group’s social media platforms, and will be accompanied by two visual films and special merchandise, including the album on both cassette and vinyl.

Although each member of the group has now ventured into the world of solo music, fans can rest easy knowing the group has no intention of going their separate ways. It was recently announced that the band will be taking the stage at the British Summer Time concert series, hosted in London’s Hyde Park, this summer alongside Sabrina Carpenter, Guns N’ Roses, and Mae Stephens. Additionally, the band recently announced the date for their WORLD TOUR (BORN PINK) Encore in Paris this coming July.

Jisoo’s debut will be available to stream on 12Am (EDT) or 1PM (KST)
