Bob Dylan is Celine Homme’s Latest “Portrait of a Musician”

Celine welcomes Bob Dylan as their latest “Portrait of a Musician.”

Just when we thought it couldn’t get more iconic, Celine Homme’s “Portrait of a Musician” series continues, with its latest release featuring Bob Dylan. Inspired by the house’s creative direction from rock and roll to ’70s style, Hedi Slimane captures portraits of musicians and artists across multiple generations.

Having previously featured Julian Casablancas, lead singer of The Strokes and The Voidz, Slimane continued the trend of rock artists photographing one of the most influential and groundbreaking artists arguably of all time. Celine’s artistic and image director captured Dylan in his rawest form, guitar in hand, wearing the latest pieces in his current hometown, Malibu, in December 2022.

Since the beginning of his career in the early 1960s, Bob Dylan has sold more than 125 million records and has released some of the greatest and most popular songs of all time. Dylan’s accomplishments have seriously skyrocketed from receiving a Nobel Prize for Literature to America’s highest civilian honor and 10 Grammy Awards he is certainly regarded as one of the greatest artists of all time.

Whilst Dylan and Casablancas are two of the most recent features, other striking portraits include those of Kevin Parker from Tame Impala and Jack White from Hennessey, to name a few, all of which run across multiple generations, but share similarities in their approach to music.
