BOBBLEHAUS Releases Third Summer Capsule, “FIRE 火”

The latest installment in the sustainable brand’s elemental series turns up the heat.

As we reach the tail-end of one of the hottest summers on record, New York-based clothing brand BOBBLEHAUS cranks the thermostat even higher. Today marks the release of the AAPI-owned brand’s third Summer 2021 capsule collection, aptly titled “FIRE 火.” Not only does the collection pay homage to the scorching natural element, but it also brings attention to the UN’s recent climate report discussing Earth’s rising temperatures. The lookbook for the capsule is fittingly aflame.

Making up the fiery capsule are shirts, a t-shirt, and sweat shorts in fierce shades of red, orange, and yellow. The genderless collection continues BOBBLEHAUS’ practice of sourcing materials from deadstock fabrics in order to avoid introducing new fabric into the industry. One eye-catcher is the short-sleeved mesh shirt, a breathable streetwear-standard top offered in a bold shade of orange. The long-sleeved mesh shirt, available in acid yellow, features a checkered pattern formed from the BOBBLEHAUS ‘BH’ monogram. Another standout piece is the “Moth to Flame” t-shirt, which showcases witchy, engrossing art of a woman dangling a candle towards a flaming moth.

The creative minds behind the “FIRE 火” collection include CEO Ophelia Chen and Creative Director Abi Lierheimer. The duo, who co-founded the brand, has received praise for their sustainable business model and on-the-pulse aesthetic. Besides avoiding waste by using 100% deadstock fabrics, BOBBLEHAUS is also partnered with One Tree Planted. According to their website, ten trees are planted for every item purchased. With “FIRE 火,” they successfully bring awareness to the climate crisis while remaining hopeful that the world can reduce to net-zero emissions by 2050.

BOBBLHEHAUS’ “FIRE 火” collection is available to shop online at bobblehaus.com and in the BOBBLEHAUS pop-up store at 138 Ludlow St, NY. Keeping in line with the previous two collections, the brand will once again be hosting a block party at the store on Saturday, August 21st.
