Bogner x Fred Segal: A “Ski Sunset” Unveiled at Sunset Boulevard
SoCal style fuses with St.Moritz sportif in the fully immersive experience and luxury capsule collection with Harden Cashmere.
Derived from the urge to mash up SoCal style with St.Moritz Sportif, Bogner and Fred Segal debut their one-of-a-kind activation at the retailer’s Sunset Boulevard location from November 15th, 2022, to January 15th, 2023. The collaboration entitled “Ski Sunset” brings the renowned German brand to the famed Los Angeles boutique to bare a fully immersive environment featuring Bogner’s legendary outerwear and lifestyle pieces from the 2022 “off-mountain” collection.
“For 90 years Bogner has represented a passion for sports & fashion; with the “Ski Sunset” activation at Fred Segal, we take the brand off mountain and drop it in the heart of Hollywood for a fresh take on ski culture seen through the LA lens,” shared Linda Ashman, Senior Vice President of Bogner America.
Merging innovative craftsmanship with luxury and style, the Fall Winter 2022 collection utilizes rich materials such as Bavarian wool and high-performance stretch nylon, which are combined with embroidery, color blocking, cable knit patterns, and fringe. In celebration of Bogner’s 90th anniversary, a selection of the limited-edition Frozen Riviera collection representing the heritage and future of the brand are featured, as well as pieces from the James Bond capsule collection.
Willy Bogner Jr. initiated the cornerstone for the unique partnership over 50 years ago when he produced the world’s first action ski scenes for On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969). The collection honors the long-standing partnership on the 60th anniversary of the James Bond films, Bogner’s 90th anniversary, and the three subsequent films featuring Bogner-produced action sequences.
A “Ski Sunset” also spotlights Bogner and LA-based Harden Cashmere as they fuse unisex knit sweaters and blankets, all available exclusively at Fred Segal Sunset Boulevard and on Bogner. The Bogner x Harden collection plays on ’80s ski shop tees with unique prints of brand icons juxtaposed on local landmarks, including the silhouette of a skier jumping over the Hollywood Sign.
