Why do we love Halloween? Beyond the candy binges and spooky movie marathons, it’s the thrill of witnessing everyone’s fabulously freaky attire that makes the night unforgettable. This year, New York’s most creative and stylish personalities gathered at The Standard, High Line for the iconic BOOM Halloween event, themed ‘Freak Show,’ for a night of twisted carnival fun.
The legendary annual party’s star-studded guest list included Broadway’s newest star, Nicole Scherzinger, as well as Valentina Sampaio, Lachlan Watson, Francesca Scorsese, Raquel Willis, Alexander Roth, Teddy Quinlivan, Maria Georgas, Aquaria, Dale Moss, Igee Okafor, Clara Perlmutter, Brandon Blackwood, Andrew Tess, Dylana Lim Suarez, Natalie Lim Suarez, Anaa Saber, Chris Klemens, Caroline Vazanna, Tanya Ravichandran, BJ Pascual, Whitney Peak, Griffin Maxwell Brooks, Hunter Abrams, Antoni Bumba, Anissa Felix, Mazurbate, Yves Mathieu-East, Pete Weber, and more.
Blending fabulous and freaky was the unofficial rule of the night, as seductive vampires mingled with angels, sexy nuns, and cowboys, while the likeness of pop culture icons such as Edward Scissorhands, Chun Li, and Christina Aguilera also joined the mix of costumes on display. Aquaria threw it back to the ’70s with their A Clockwork Orange costume, while giving the character a brilliant sultry twist. The night was capped off with a special performance of the hit song “Brokey” by Grammy Award-nominated artist Latto, who donned a fabulous Jessica Rabbit costume.
