Bottega Veneta Composes a Scent that Weaves Culture and Craft

The Italian brand launches Alta, a thoughtful new fragrance collection, just in time for summer
Known for their technique of weaving leather, Bottega Veneta shies away from the logo and letter branding that many fashion houses use. Instead, their Intreciatto weave has emerged as their signifier. It’s an embodiment of the popular sentiment “if you know, you know.”

The Intreciatto technique carries into their new Eaux de Parfum collection, Alta, comprising ten new scents. Much like the woven leather, the perfumes take one ingredient sourced from Italy and another from elsewhere in the world. Always Now merges Italian basil with Bourbon essence from Madagascar. Balliamo blends Italian white fig with American cedarwood. Night Sounds is a meeting of Italian saffron accord with Vietnamese benzoin. The idea is a cross-culture experience that appreciates the house’s Italian heritage and its global impact.

The signature Intrecciato is seen again in the bottle design, crafted out of glass topped with a gold ring and wooden cap. The meaningful collection can be found in Bottega Veneta boutiques and department stores. It is a testament to the craft and quality of the Italian house, while nodding to its global reach.
