Bottega Veneta Meets The Great Wall
The luxury fashion house takes over part of the ancient monument with a digital installation in celebration of the Chinese Lunar New Year.
It goes without saying that fashion and architecture often collide in the spirit of innovation and synchronicity, celebrating fine art and all its intricacies. Bottega Veneta is doing just that. This month, the Italian luxury fashion house takes over part of the ancient monument commemorating the Chinese Lunar New Year.
‘Bottega Veneta’ and the Mandarin symbol of luck 新春快乐 or ‘Happy New Year,’ can be viewed along the stretch in striking Bottega hues of green and tangerine, aligning with their celebratory campaign.
With this installation, the brand has pledged a donation to support the ‘Shanhai Pass,’ the Great Wall of China’s easternmost stronghold and also historically known as the ‘First Pass Under Heaven.’
It’s also clear the brand knows how to get the fashion world buzzing as this isn’t the first time the maison has occupied a worldly location. Just last year, they rolled out their Salon 02 and Wardrobe 02 campaigns in a similar style at Bondi Icebergs and rooftops near California’s LAX, respectively.
Salon 02’s campaign image at Bondi Beach can be seen on the pool’s ground level while Wardrobe 02 plasters building tops close to the state’s largest airport.
