Boucheron has unveiled its new Histoire de Style high jewelry collection. Titled “Nom: Boucheron, Prénom: Frédéric,” the collection is a tribute to the house’s founder.
In 1858, Frédéric Boucheron opened his first boutique in Paris. Throughout his life, the pioneering designer would challenge tradition and redefine high jewelry. He was the first jeweler to open a store on Place Vendôme — where the house remains 168 years later. In a new collection, Creative Director Claire Choisne reinterprets a handful of archival pieces.
“With this new high jewelry collection I pay homage to Frédéric Boucheron by sketching his portrait through four major pieces,” Choisne said in a statement.
An octagonal pendant necklace — referential to the shape of Place Vendôme — is reintroduced in white gold and diamonds against black lacquer. Titled “The Address,” the piece’s focal point is a 10.01-carat emerald-cut diamond.

In a reaction against rigid, constraining jewelry and clothing, Frédéric Boucheron invented the first claspless necklace. Choisne’s interpretation maintains the fluidity of his original design, featuring a series of cascading princess-cut diamonds.
Continuing a theme of draping, “The Silhouette” embodies versatility, able to be worn on the shoulders, the neck, or the wrist. The sculptural piece pays homage to Frédéric Boucheron’s appreciation for clothing — which he saw jewelry as “an extension of,” the house said in a statement.

An ivy motif Question Mark necklace rounds out the collection, recalling Frédéric Boucheron’s appreciation for untamed plant life. Inspired by an 1879 sketch, “The Untamed” is made up of round diamonds. Its free-flowing construction molds to the body, featuring detachable branches which allow it to be worn as a necklace or a hair accessory.
