Haute couture, an exclusive high-end fashion principle dominated by the French. Sportswear, an accessible section of fashion reserved for comfort, movability, and athleticism. Two concepts that deem to have nothing in common, combine to create the newest collaboration between Maison Margiela and Reebok.

After waiting since September 2021, the anticipated arrival of the Classic Leather Tabi Décortiqué is finally here. The trainer pushes the bounds of sportswear and takes haute couture to the streets. Stripped of its structure and left with its skeleton, Margiela employs the technique of décortiqué. Dismantled leather panels leave nothing but a cage-like form, exposing the innermost construction of the shoe.  A spliced-in half toe box creates the Tabi design, a Margiela trademark since 1988. The trainer comes in monochromatic black, red, and white. All colorways feature Margiela Bianchetto technique: a hand-executed base of white paint that chips away with wear.
