Brunello Cucinelli Debuts Documentary Brunello: The Gracious Visionary

The New York screening was a star-studded premiere
Brunello Cucinelli, Italy’s “Cashmere King,” is the subject of the latest fashion documentary hitting screens this spring. Brunello: The Gracious Visionary shares the designer’s rise and journey as he created the global luxury lifestyle brand of his namesake. Oscar-winning director, Giuseppe Tornatore, was selected to direct the documentary. Filmed in Cucinelli’s birth region of Umbria, the film captures his passion for the elegance, quality and craftsmanship that his brand is renowned for today.

While already debuted in Italy, in the US, the documentary debuted on April 14. The star-studded premiere was held in New York at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center. Celebrities like Martha Stewart, Naomi Watts, Oscar Issac and Grace Gummer were in attendance. Joshua Jackson and Katie Holmes were seen reunited on the red carpet—and gained much fanfare. Other notable guests included Helena Christensen, Shonda Rhimes, Christie Brinkley, Darren Star and more. Outside of the film’s subject, cast members who were in attendance include Saul Nanni, Francesco Cannavale, Francesco Ferroni and Emma Fatone. Post-screening, Cucinelli invited guests, including friends of the fashion house, to a celebratory dinner.
Brunello: The Gracious Visionary will begin being shown in select theaters across North America.
