After the mega-successful single “Leave the Door Open” released earlier this year, Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak’s Silk Sonic has debuted “Skate” today along with a music video. 

Eleven time Grammy winner Bruno Mars and four time Grammy winner Anderson .Paak slowly created Silk Sonic in 2017 when .Paak was opening for Mars while on his 24K Magic World Tour but debuted their first single for the first time this year. 

While summer is close to an end, Silk Sonic’s “Skate” proves that there’s still time to enjoy the sun as well as roller skating. The music video shows Mars and Paak performing with the rest of their band with a two-tone yellow and blue house behind them. A large group of women in ‘70s inspired yet contemporary roller skating looks skate around and dance with some dancers doing splits and twirls. 

Mars and Paak do some light choreography as they play the drums on this upbeat summer song. The video then concludes with the two standing up and playing their instruments as the dancers gather around them. The entire music video goes with the song perfectly as the two talented artists sing about having someone skate into their lives as the warm and easy-going setting mirrors the R&B sound.
