From necklaces, bracelets, and purse handles to projections on the walls, Bulgari’s new exhibit is a serpant’s dream.

In honor of Serpenti’s 75th anniversary, Bulgari presents the “Serpenti 75 Years of Infinite Tales Exhibition” in New York City, showcasing its iconic symbol’s timeless evolution. The exhibit will explore many parts of Serpenti’s identity, from art and heritage to craftsmanship.

Adorned in jewels, the exhibit will include an assortment of medium-high and fine jewelry, watches, and handbags that illustrates the ‘glittering universe of Serpenti’. To celebrate the 75th anniversary of Serpenti, Bulgari has collaborated with artists all around the globe. A curation of seven unique High Jewelry pieces for this exhibition will be on display along with a selection of 25 rare Serpenti creations from the Bulgari ‘Heritage’ collection.

Welcoming visitors to observe first-hand the mastery behind the house’s iconic jewelry, the exhibition will also feature live demonstrations by Bulgari craftsmen from the Rome atelier.

If you have been to the MOMA as of late, you have seen Refik Anadol’s work. His projects consist of data-driven machine-learning algorithms that create abstract environments. The multi-award-winning new media artist and director was commissioned by Bulgari for an installation at the exhibit. Anadol’s Serpenti offers a multi-sensory interpretation of the concept of metamorphosis—interpreted as the change from one form to another.

“We are delighted to bring this exhibition to New York City,” says Jean-Christophe Babin, Bulgari’s CEO. “We look forward to celebrating the journey of Serpenti here in New York’s Meat Packing District, where visitors can fully immerse themselves in the past, present, and future of this exceptional global icon.”

Having been founded in 1884 in Rome, Italy, by Sotirios Voulgaris, a Greek immigrant, Bulgari gained a reputation for its fine craftsmanship and unique designs; as the brand drew inspiration from ancient Rome, the Renaissance, and the Art Deco movement.

The Serpenti motif first appeared in 1948 in the form of watches. The unique design became an instant success, worn by the most globally-renown actors in the 50s and 60s, such as Elizabeth Taylor—now one of Bulgari’s most recognizable and coveted collections.

The house’s most emblematic motif’s transformative exhibition will be on display from June 8th to July 16th in the Meat Packing District at 70 Gansevoort Street, New York, NY.
