Infused with unabashed glamour and nods to Y2K aesthetics, Blumarine’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection continues the brand’s buzzy revival while also offering updated silhouettes to the label’s budding lexicon.

Since his arrival at the helm of the Italian house, Creative Director Nicola Brognano’s intricate and kitschy designs have attracted a high-profile list of clientele like Rihanna, Ariana Grande, and Dua Lipa. By incorporating nods to the brand’s storied past and toying with a Y2K craze that has inundated social media, Brognano has cemented himself as one to watch during Milan Fashion Week.

With Spring/Summer 2022, Blumarine’s 2000s It-Girl archetype opted for an updated version of the brand’s usual flirty separates. Standout pieces like printed low-rise trousers, ruffle mini dresses, and cropped cardigans again proved Brognano’s unrivaled knack for repackaging feel good trends of decades past for the modern eye.

Set against the catchy lyrics of the Y2K mega-hit “Milkshake,” models donned in tempting silhouettes and all-over body glitter appeared as if they were plucked directly from the early 2000s.
