Burberry Introduces The Lola Bag Campaign
The British fashion house features Bella Hadid, Lourdes Leon, Jourdan Dunn and Ella Richards in their newest campaign.
Not just the newest it-girl bag. The Lola embodies attitude, strong, sexy and smart all in one bag. Most of all, it has a multifaceted energy that promotes confidence in everyone.
Nothing short of that exact attitude, Burberry revealed its campaign for the Lola Bag–”a staple for the house,” designed by creative chief officer Riccardo Tisci. Its campaign stars, Bella Hadid, Lourdes Leon, Jourdan Dunn and Ella Richards, are the ensemble of women who personify Lola’s presence. As each model takes the reins of a faux horse, they’re commanding the space with confidence, spirit and control in the exact way as the Lola does.
Torso Solutions and stylist Suzanne Koller capture the Lola in all of her essence, using every angle to reaffirm Lola’s status as Burberry’s signature bag. The Lola bag is described as a “a soft silhouette punctuated with the Thomas Burberry Monogram clasp and a polished chain strap.” The clasp is in reference to the heritage of the brand and its founder, Thomas Burberry. Made in Italy, the Lola is also padded and softly constructed in all of its various sizes, styles and colourways, ranging from Italian-tanned leather to cotton canvas, and from pale vanilla to natural raffia. Later this year, Burberry will introduce new, brighter colourways to the collection.
Since its first release, the Lola has grown into new iterations. Outside its classic handbag style, the Lola is available in bucket bag and shopper bag styles. These styles are available in the similar neutral color scheme as its original.
In celebration of the Lola bag and its campaign, and for the world to have “a chance to step into Lola’s world,” Burberry will release a series of pop-ups and pop-ins around the world. These cities will include London, Paris, Sydney, Philadelphia, New York, Tokyo and New Delhi.
