Since presenting his first collection for the brand last year, Raf Simons has come a long way at Calvin Klein. His high-fashion take on Americana has made the CK name relevant in a whole new way.

His latest move as creative director entails a complete makeover of Calvin Klein Jeans. Once the coolest denim line on the block thanks to a young Brooke Shields, the brand aims to "clean up distribution" of its products and will be releasing "completely reimagined" designs this August.

The revamp is accomplished, in large part, through adaptation of motifs seen on the Calvin Klein runway. Andy Warhol prints, bright primary colors, and patchwork denim are all present in Simons' rendition of the CK Jeans line.

"Clearly in 1978 we created the category, designer jeans," Steve Shiffman, CEO of Calvin Klein Inc., told WWD. "After the Warnaco acquisition five years ago, it was very clear to me that we had a significant opportunity to re-earn, re-own and regain our position as the number-one designer jeans brand in the world."
