The grand day has finally arrived for all you Parisian jewelry lovers. The notable jewelry house of Cartier has reopened its emblematic boutique Rue de la Paix, kicking off with an eventful night followed by an exclusive sneak peek into their Grain de Cafe collection, coming December. Friends of the Maison, Vanessa Kirby, and Farida Khelfa pioneered the night flaunting a necklace, bracelet, and two rings in yellow gold and diamonds, all of which can be found in the opulent new collection. 

“Grain de Café is Cartier’s new figurative collection; it’s the freedom to surpass literal creative execution and develop a multi-sensory architecture” shared Marie-Laure Cérède, Cartier’s Jewelry and Watchmaking Creative Director.

After more than two years of renovation (from June 2020 to October 2022), a new chapter in this creative epic is revealed as the boutique has been entirely rethought, redesigned and refurbished. Totally reinvented. Three teams of architects dear to the Maison worked together to offer a transformation that is both multi-faceted and profoundly harmonious across all six levels of the building. Although almost nothing has been preserved from the previous interior, which was itself created from scratch, this new project of an unprecedented scale doesn’t turn its back on the glorious past. The gentle and luminous touch that governs this transformation creates a dialogue between the eras and decorative styles of the Maison, paying tribute to them while at the same time inscribing them in a timeless modernity.

A true source of inspiration, its full, round, and fleshy shape inspires Cartier to create a unique collection, just like its vision of nature: rebellious, free and sophisticated, opening up a creative field in its own right that gives rise to the most unexpected and original pieces. This is the origin of the Grain de Café collection: a blossoming of jewelry creations, designed as a living, moving, opulent and joyful constructions.
