Casablanca Travels to Venice for Energetic Fall/Winter 2021 Campaign
The collection features luxurious silk shirting and vibrant separates.
Since making its debut in 2018, French luxury label Casablanca has catapulted to sartorial success thanks to Creative Director Charaf Tajer’s distinct design know-how. Inspired by his Moroccan roots and Parisian upbringing, Tajer has become the go-to for bold prints, nostalgic references, and breezy silhouettes.
Tajer has also been a part of a host of high-profile streetwear collaborations, mostly notably a range of sold-out sneakers with footwear powerhouse New Balance. For the brand’s Fall/Winter 2021 campaign, Tajer showcased his must-have ready-to-wear behind the backdrop of Venice’s Palazzo Gritti.
Starring fashion editor Ben Cobb and model Sid Oudaninia Beaulieu, the campaign incorporates elements of the brand’s Fall/Winter 2021 “Grand Prix” collection as well as pieces from its most recent range of womenswear. Venetian imagery is effortlessly combined with noticeable house codes like color blocked shirting, idyllic motifs, and flowing silk silhouettes that Tajer has become known for.
Other highlights include a Grand Prix-inspired silk shirt, vibrant halter pantsuit, and a black and white checkered long sleeve shirt with an exaggerated collar. Toying with the brand’s distinct DNA, the campaign features models relaxing by the pool, chicly drinking espresso, and waiting for their martini glass to be filled.
Having grown up collecting items from heritage houses like Chanel, Hermès, and Yves Saint Laurent, Tajer is crafting a distinct brand identity founded on luxe travel and unbridled glamour. The brand’s genderless silhouettes and playful accessorizing have cultivated a cult following, making it the go-to option for stylish Gen Z jet setters.
