Swedish DJ and music producer Avicii has passed away at the age of 28. His publicist confirmed the news earlier today in a statement. "It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii," it read. "He was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given."

The DJ was one of the most successful touring EDM DJs in the industry, making music with Madonna, David Guetta, Coldplay, Aloe Blacc, and Wyclef Jean, just to name a few. He retired from performing in 2016, after penning an emotional letter on his website to fans stating that his performances would cease. He noted, however, that "I will however never let go of music - I will continue to speak to my fans through it." The artist continued to make his mark on fans, and the impact left by him on other artists, musicians, and celebrities is felt everywhere. Scroll down to see celebrities pay tribute to the artist. He will be dearly missed.
