This show was more than a return. Rather, it marks a powerful and emotional homecoming for both CELINE and Paris as a whole, with the house’s new Creative Director, Michael Rider, showing off his powerful vision and prowess.

At 16 rue Vivienne, where so much creative legacy resides, the experience was simultaneously elated and deeply moving. In a world that changes drastically from day to day, CELINE remains comfortably molded in values that feel increasingly rare and laced with tides of style and uncompromising quality.

In this latest chapter, CELINE has initiated a way to translate ideas into something tangible, a way of dressing that captures sensations as opposed to just visual aesthetics. Rarely are clothes so packed with emotion, the fleeting sartorial combination of nostalgia and downright chicness that somehow lives beautifully in all our modernity.

These aren’t just ideas, they’re aspirations, difficult to define and even harder to preserve. Yet, through this latest chapter and collection, CELINE has found a way to translate these ideals into something tangible: a way of dressing that captures an attitude. Or rather, many attitudes.

More specifically, the collection presents an elevated lived-in aesthetic, with blazers, trousers, and minimal yet bold pops of conspicuous color. The all-known familiar silhouettes take stage on the runway, yet they move fluidly with the body, taking shapes that seem anything but familiar. It’s safe to say that, for CELINE, blazers and their formidable figure will remain a staple in the coming months.

We leave you with a powerful quote from Rider:
“I’ve always loved the idea of clothing that lives on, that becomes a part of the wearer’s life, that may capture a moment in time but also speaks to years and years of gestures and occasions and change, of the past, the present and the future, of memories, of usefulness and of fantasy, of life really.”
