Hedi Slimane has a new ‘California Song’ as CELINE HOMME releases a new capsule collection in collaboration with the Troubadour Club in West Hollywood, California.

TROUBADOUR LOOSE HOODIE IN COTTON FLEECE – BLACK / WHITE | CELINE

The 8-piece concert-style merch collection features jackets, t-shirts, and accessories all featuring the Troubadour Club and CELINE logo, with the star of the collection is a pink ‘50s style satin-finish varsity jacket with black trim.

The venue, which first opened its ever-iconic doors all the way back in 1957, earned glimmering notoriety for hosting live performances from some of the world’s biggest rock artists (notably Elton John played at the Troubadour, getting his U.S. big break in 1970) . Since then, the likes of Neil Young, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, Guns N Roses, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Franz Ferdinand, The Strokes, and more have played at the iconic venue.

Although Slimane has been a name in fashion since the 1990s, his creative pursuits are expansive. In 2011, Slimane’s photography was shown in an exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. The exhibition was titled, “California Song,” explores the urban youth culture and artistic communities in California. Since then, California has been a consistent theme within his fashion, as another creative medium.

The collaboration between CELINE under Hedi Slimane’s reign and the Troubadour Club comes as no surprise as the club has shaped his work over the years, illustrating Slimane’s continuous link to California and the indie music scene.

The CELINE + Troubadour Club capsule collection is now available exclusively at CELINE’s Rodeo Drive boutique + online at celine.com.
