Chanel Brings Parisian Chic to Aspen With the Ephemeral Boutique
This one-of-a-kind boutique has everything you’ll need to look good on and off the slopes.
Sitting on a snowy mountain side, cream colored tweed, fluffy faux fur pillows, and the sweet smell of Chanel No. 5 beckon the skiers of Aspen off the slopes and into the Ephemeral Boutique. For the third time in its history, Chanel opens the doors to its iconic Aspen boutique. Stocking a range of ready-to-wear, shoes, handbags, and accessories, the boutique provides a luxurious shopping experience, while paying homage to the heritage and timeless allure of the brand.
The boutique houses cream tweed couches, beige woven floor coverings, and faux fur pillows, that serve as an homage to Coco Chanel’s 31 rue Cambon apartment. It’s split into two different floors: the bottom for ready-to-wear, shoes, and handbags, and the top for fine jewelry, fragrances, and watches.
The star of the show is the FW 21/22 collection. The snowy Aspen background highlights the ski holiday ambiance, while the interior of aids the 70’s Parisian chic elements. The mix of styles is seen through logo-printed denim and fitted textured knits.
For Coco Neige, quilted salopettes with the iconic Chanel letting printed on them, bring high fashion to the slopes. The voluminous quilted puffers are an ode to the iconic Chanel Jacket. They have the same sharp-shoulders and fitted cropped cut, and serve as a ski edition. The collection is a nod to Mademoiselle Chanel’s ability to make stylish clothes for on and off the slopes.
From the Cruise 2021/22 collection, the boutique stocks trim jackets and denim printed with lucky talismans. All items are available in black and white, the fashion house’s favored shades.
On the bottom floor, sneakers, snow boots, and iconic Chanel bags, such as the mini flap bag, join the ready-to-wear collection. On the top floor, the J12 Watch is proudly on display, and can be purchased in in black or white ceramic. Alongside the watch, a selection of fine jewelry from the Camélia and Coco Crush collections, are on display. Finally, the top floor houses the boutique’s fragrance department, where Chanel N ̊5 sits proudly on display. The iconic scent celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, and serves as the main attraction amongst its counterparts.
The Aspen boutique combines style with snow is the most Parisian of ways. The boutique opened at the beginning of February, and will continue welcoming visitors through April 2022.
