The BAAND Together Dance Festival, a celebration of movement and diversity, has just returned to Lincoln Center’s David Geffen Hall. And to mark the occasion, Chanel agreed to host an exclusive cocktail party at Tatiana in NYC, bringing together some of the city’s most stylish performers like Havana Rose Liu, Anna Baryshnikov, Casimere Jollette, Misty Copeland, Tommy Dorfman, Coco Baudelle, Christie Tyler, and Beverly Nguyen.
As the guests mingled and sipped champagne, they were treated to a sneak peek of the festival’s program, which promises to be a truly unforgettable experience. This year, the BAAND Together Dance Festival brings together five of New York City’s most renowned dance companies: Ballet Hispánico, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, and Dance Theatre of Harlem. For five exceptional performances, these iconic companies all share the stage, presenting a range of dance styles and repertory pieces that are sure to leave audiences in awe.
From the sultry rhythms of Ballet Hispánico’s “Carmen.maquia” to the outstanding athleticism of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’s “Revelations,” each performance caters to the company’s ethos. American Ballet Theatre presents a selection of works from its esteemed discography, including the beloved classic “Giselle.” New York City Ballet will showcase its signature speed and precision in a program featuring works by George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins. And Dance Theatre of Harlem will bring its unique blend of classical and contemporary styles to the stage, celebrating African American and Latino heritage.
Chanel’s support of the festival is a natural extension of the House’s long-standing connection to the world of dance. From Gabrielle Chanel’s collaborations with legendary choreographers like Sergei Diaghilev and Léonide Massine to its current partnership with the BAAND Together Dance Festival, Chanel has always been committed to promoting the arts and celebrating the beauty within movement.
The festival, running from July 30th to August 3rd, grants the public an opportunity to experience the festival for themselves. With ‘Choose-What-You-Pay’ ticketing, the experience is accessible to all. Tickets can be purchased online or at the David Geffen Hall box office.
