On Tuesday, September 19th, Chanel hosted an intimate dinner with a stellar guest list to celebrate the launch of Sofia Coppola Archive: 1999-2023, the first book from Oscar-winning actress and filmmaker Sofia Coppola. At the iconic Chateau Marmont on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, Coppola’s work was honored, and as a long-standing artistic collaborator and brand ambassador for CHANEL, it was only right for the French fashion house to host the enchanted event.
The guest list was made up of actors, musicians, comedians, and influencers all gathered to toast the director, her new book, and her career in film. Dressed in CHANEL attire was Coppola herself in a lovely yet subtle black rainbow-striped dress, Kristen Stewart in a chic leather shorts and jacket ensemble, Paris Hilton in a glittering pink and navy metallic skirt and top set, to name a few.
Other guests in attendance were some of Coppola’s go-to casting selections including Kirsten Dunst (The Virgin Suicides, Marie Antoinette, The Beguiled), and Elle Fanning (Somewhere, The Beguiled), as well as Hollywood legacy Anjelica Huston, among others.
The night was topped off with a memorable surprise performance from Princess, Maya Rudolph, and Gretchen Lieberum’s Prince cover band.
