Chanel is officially entering the rapidly growing world of men's beauty with Boy de Chanel, the iconic French fashion house's first men's makeup line. Named after Gabrielle Chanel's lover and muse, the collection includes a foundation available in four shades, four shades of eyebrow pencils, and a matte lip balm.

Although this isn't Chanel's first venture under their men's division, as the brand already sells men's fragrances and grooming products, this is their first time targeting the male beauty market.

"Just as Gabrielle Chanel borrowed elements from the men’s wardrobe to dress women, Chanel draws inspiration from the women’s world to write the vocabulary of a new personal aesthetic for men," the company said. "There is no absolutely feminine or masculine prerequisite: Style alone defines the person we wish to be. By creating Boy de Chanel, its first makeup line for men, Chanel reaffirms the ever-changing codes of an unchanging vision: Beauty is not a matter of gender, it is a matter of style."

The campaign, fronted by South Korean actor Lee Dong-Wook, is expected to be released in South Korea on September 1st. The collection will then be available for purchase online in November, and in Chanel's boutiques in January 2019.
