Chanel Opens an Exclusive Boutique in Aspen, Colorado

Ski outfits and urban wear available for a limited time only.

Today, Chanel opens a new brick-and-mortar location in the renowned mountain retreat of Aspen, Colorado. The new 1,960-square-foot boutique in the ski hamlet at the base of the Elk Mountains will stock a collection of shoes, handbags, consumer jewelry and ready-to-wear items, as well as watches, fine jewelry and a selection of fragrance and beauty products.

Upon entering the exclusive shop, guests will be met by a series of boldly mirrored columns and interior walls covered in soft white wool to highlight the intimacy of the store and evoke the snow-capped mountains outside. Within the charming and intimate boutique setting, visitors will be invited to discover two runway collections along with accessories such as skis, earmuffs, hats, scarves, and gloves—perfect for a Colorado winter.

The ultimate ski outfits will be mixed with urban wear: a down jacket sported with wide-cut trousers in big check tweed, a zip-up ski-suit in tri-color tweed. Accessories will lend a hip vibe to the silhouette — a flap bag in faux fur, a camera case in braided shearling or a miniature gondola handbag embellished in rhinestone resin. Uniform-style outerwear is feminized in chiffon vests embroidered with camellias, while separates appear in a brilliant palette of jewel tones that clash with classic cream, white and pastel hues.

The essential new Chanel 19 handbag will also make an appearance at the new store, lining the walls of the boutique. Named for the year 2019 in which the bag was born, the Chanel 19 bag bears the essence of the French luxury house and its codes.

The Chanel Aspen boutique will stay open to the public until January 21, 2020.
