Charli xcx Announces New Album “Music, Fashion, Film”

Following the release of “SS26” and “Rock Music,” the British pop star has revealed her seventh studio album, set to release on July 24

After defining the cultural zeitgeist with 2024’s Brat and sparking the internet-fueled phenomenon known as “Brat Summer,” Charli xcx is entering a new era. The forthcoming record will include the previously released singles “SS26” and “Rock Music,” offering an early glimpse into the project’s creative direction. The album artwork, photographed by Aidan Zamiri, features John Cale, Marc Jacobs, and Martin Scorsese appearing on the cover.

Throughout her career, Charli xcx has consistently navigated the space between underground experimentation and mainstream success, building a reputation for innovation that extends far beyond music. While Brat became one of the defining albums of the decade and transformed its acid-green aesthetic into a global cultural phenomenon, her influence has long extended across fashion, art, and digital culture.

A fixture within the fashion industry, she is known for her close relationships with leading designers, photographers, and image-makers, while also expanding her creative reach into film as an actor, writer, producer, and composer. Her growing slate of projects includes collaborations with directors such as Takashi Miike, Greg Araki, and Cathy Yan, further cementing her status as a multifaceted cultural force.
