Check Out The Trailer For “Love, Lizzo”

It’s about damn time!

We’re not ready for Lizzo’s new HBO Max documentary, Love, Lizzo. After her meteoric rise with hits like “Good As Hell,” “Juice,” and “About Damn Time,” it seems like everyone everywhere has Lizzo on their mind. Lizzo fever is spreading, with an incredible sophomore album Special and an international stadium tour with Latto. Now we can all get a more intimate look inside Lizzo’s life with her new documentary, premiering November 24th on HBO Max.

The Grammy Award-winning singer and rapper is no stranger to the screen. Having racked up millions of views on her music videos and award show performances, the image of Lizzo is plastered just about everywhere. Plus, with an Emmy Award-winning reality show, Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, Lizzo has made the rounds. Love, Lizzo will be a bit more intimate, though. This is an inside look into her life, and how she reached these heights. We can hear it right from Lizzo’s lips in the trailer: “music gave me the opportunity to be who I am.” That transparency, and that empowerment of self, is the Lizzo way.

Directed by Doug Pray of The Defiant Ones fame, the film is sure to excite. It’s so rare that we have these bonafide it-girls, going from indie artist to mega-star in months. Lizzo certainly filled a need in the culture. We needed to be empowered, we need to feel ourselves. We needed to be loved.
