The arrival and establishment of the “Chloe girl” is not new to this season, but this collection rather continues the legacy previously solidified by Chemena Kamali. The German designer worked under the legendary era of Phoebe Philo’s reign as Creative Director of Chloe, and later for Clare Waight Keller who held the position from 2011 to 2017.

Chemena has witnessed an evolution of the brand, exhibiting a keen understanding of the fashion house with recent collections. With styling by Elodie David Touboul, Chloe presented Winter 2026, titled “The Devotion Collection”, a physical production of the team’s promise to their audience. Drawing upon the spirit of community and a recognition of shared values, the garments are a manifestation of the love Chemena has for her craft.

The show opened with the unexpected, a diversion from the well-known muted, solid tones of the classic Chloe ensemble. Four, cohesive looks emerged, each building off the previous. The recipe that runs throughout the four: circular shades, oversized blazer, tulle maxi skirt, a blouse peaks out as the centerpiece of the ensemble.

Next, the collection launched into a maximalism that manages to maintain a feminine grace. Slouchy, leather boots lined with shearling pulled over vivid leather pants. These looks were book ended by dramatic dresses, each composed of a sheer plaid oversetting a volume of layered tulle.

The spirit of Chemena’s Chloe is strong, with blooming sleeves, high, fringed collars, and ruffles all around. A parade of tulle dresses commences, one styled with a patent overcoat and fur bag, another in a deep ruby red stood strongly as an individual work of art.

Color tells a story, some tones reminiscent of the Summer 2026 collection. One tulle dress stood out particularly, recalling the Pebble Blue from Summer 2026 but with a more intense saturation.

Soon after, knitwear entered. The collection continued to seek depth, with various elements coming together to create each look. Platformed mules appeared beneath a floral skirt, a thick leather belt separated a sheer top from a pair of dramatic fur pants. The collection is dramatic, but maintains the core principles of the fashion house.

Contradiction appeared, an element in many of this season’s shows. A floral embroidered set is placed close to a head to toe fur look. The range of the collection is clear, with an adaptability to allow each person to step into the aesthetic of the “Chloe girl.” Beloved Chemena crafts a femininity not afraid of sensuality or delicacy, allowing both to occur in unison.

Pouring time and meaning into a complete collection: the essence of devotion. The collection reflects on the state of the world, with an emphasis upon the need to recognize humanity and act with empathy.

Each stitch, every choice of fabric, the collection draws upon a sensitivity with the touch of human care. In Chemena’s words: “This collection is an ode to those gestures of care. It is both a return and a renewal – an invitation to see fashion not as escape, but as connection.”
