In an alliance of luxury innovators, Maison Chloé has teamed up with swimwear brand ERES to build an exclusive beachwear collection, just in time for the hotter months. Chloé Creative Director Gabriela Hearst joined forces with the Creative Director of ERES, Amrie-Paule Minchelli to craft a selection of swimsuits, while Chloé made a range of beachwear essentials, featuring signature designs like the trademark “C.”

The swimwear in the collaboration is made from an innovative, secondskin-esque material known as Peau Douce. Created by ERES, Peau Douce combines resistance and shape with elasticity and comfort, and is offered in a range of Mediterranean-inspired tones. From “Summer Night” to “Red Ochre,” earthy hues meet classic neutral colors like black and brown, while an exclusive colorway, “Dark Honey,” will be available only on Net-A-Porter.

Chloé’s notorious emphasis on femininity shines through in the collection’s looks with distinctive winged silhouettes and motifs created in broderie anglaise. The “C” emblem is reimagined by ERES and transformed into hardware, adding touches of the Maison in pieces like the “Panama” swimsuit and the “Papeete Paraguay” top.

Hearst and the entire team at Chloé are known for their ongoing commitment to improving environmental and social impacts, which is made clear through the Chloé x ERES collab. The Peau Douce material is created from castor oil-based polyamide, while pieces are cut from embroidered linen – a lower-impact choice compared to other conventional fabrics. The sustainable edge doesn’t end there, however.

Mifuko, a Kenyan-based social enterprise, continued its several season-long partnership with the Maison and helped with the making of the “Palma” basket bag. Sunglass frames and embroidered sandals come as a result of Leather Working Group-certified tanneries. The “Pila” hat is made from recycled organic cotton canvas and lined with tonal embroidery. 

The Chloé x ERES collection will be available in Chloé and ERES boutiques and online beginning April 28.
