Chloë Sevigny and Kid Cudi to Star in We Are Who We Are

Luca Guadagnino will direct the series, set to premiere on HBO.

Brace yourselves, Call Me By Your Name fans! The director of your favorite film, Luca Guadaginio, has cast Chloë Sevigny and Kid Cudi in his upcoming HBO Series, We Are Who We Are.

The show, due to begin filming in a few weeks, tells the coming-of-age story of two American 14-year-olds who meet while living on an American military base in Italy—a stark contrast from Guadagnino’s most recent work, Suspiria, a supernatural horror film which starred Tilda Swinton and Dakota Johnson. With WAWWA, Guadagnino hopes to explore “friendships, first love and all the unknowns of being a teenager,” whether he does so in the manner of the network’s reigning edgy teen drama, Euphoria, is yet to be determined.

Upon announcing Sevigny and Cudi as cast members, the network also took to their Instagram to reveal the rest of the cast. The two will star alongside singer-songwriter Jordan Kristine Seamon, Spence Moore II, Francesca Scorses, Corey Knight, Sebastian Pigazzi, Ben Taylor and Faith Alabi; overall a young, diverse bunch we’re excited to see.

While the show has no official release date, tide yourself over with a glimpse of Guadagnino’s ensemble for We Are Who We Are below.
