Chris Lee Flaunts Gucci Jewelry in New Campaign

If there’s any place that echoes the classic sophistication of Gucci’s timepieces and jewelry, it’s an old-school library. Creative Director Alessandro Michele would agree. The Biblioteca Casanatense in Rome set the backdrop for Gucci’s latest jewelry campaign.

The campaign stars Chinese singer and brand ambassador Chris Lee. The artist wanders through the historic, immaculate Roman study decked out in shimmering Gucci jewels. Surrounded by leather-bound books, neutral tones and antique furniture, Lee’s accessories stand out as fresh, bold and enviously brilliant. Lee’s character in the campaign may have a refined taste in jewelry, but that doesn’t disqualify her title as a bibliophile. Lee portrays the balanced life of the modern Gucci woman. One that indulges in both a life of decadence and one of intellectual intrigue.

Glasses, hats, neck scarves, gloves and swanky coats help set the tone of the timeless campaign. The focal point, however, remains on the watches and jewelry. Lee’s jewelry is nothing short of extravagant. Diamonds are aplenty, as are striking yet feminine pieces in white and yellow gold.

Distinct in style, each timepiece screams Gucci. The yellow-gold watch—with only three windows for hour, minute and second—is a statement bracelet just as much as it is a timepiece. A watch with the house’s iconic green-red-green stripes and bee-motif appears more accessible through its white calf leather strap, all the while maintaining Gucci’s typical elegance. A chunkier, steel bracelet timepiece provides a third diverse look, tapping into the more masculine side of the accessory.
