Chrissy Teigen Debunks Twitter Conspiracy Theories

Chrissy Teigen was unfoundedly accused of being involved with sex-trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

Chrissy Teigen deleted 60,000 tweets this week in concern of her family’s safety after some Twitter users developed a conspiracy theory unfoundedly citing that Teigen is a pedophile having worked with Jeffrey Epstein.

Accusers began attacking Teigen after her 2011 tweets regarding “Toddlers in Tiaras” surfaced. In the 2011 tweets, Teigen solely celebrated the hit TLC program and in one instance even suggested she wanted to dress as a character from the show for Halloween.

“I actually deleted 60,000 tweets because I cannot fucking STAND you idiots anymore and I’m worried for my family,” Teigen tweeted. “Finding me talking about toddlers and tiaras in 2013 and thinking you’re some sort of fucking operative.”

Teigen later tweeted about Ghislaine Maxwell — a recently indicted and longtime friend of the sex-trafficker Jeffrey Epstein — saying that even if Maxwell denies Teigen’s involvement, the Twitter conspiracy theory “won’t go away.”

Conspiracy theorists recently accused Teigen of traveling on Epstein’s private plane to and from his infamous estate in the Virgin Islands. Teigen immediately denied travel involvement and the claims have since been found to be false.

Yesterday, Teigen notified her Twitter followers that she blocked over 1 million accounts after she was harassed and flooded by “sick psychopaths” accusing her of being involved with Maxwell and Epstein.

This is not the first time Teigen has faced baseless allegations of being involved in sex-trafficking rings. In 2018, the Los Angeles Times reported that Teigen and her husband John Legend threatened legal action against journalist Liz Crokin who suggested that their daughter was in a child sex ring.

The baseless scandal has come to be known as “Pizzagate” among social media users — linking a 2011 Teigen tweet about pizza to pedophilia.
