As part of Christian Cowan's SS19 runway show presented at NYFW, the young designer teamed up Giuseppe Zanotti for an over-the-top, high-glam collaboration.

Cowan's newest collection, styled by icon Patti Wilson, came to slay with the unexpected colors, shapes, and an unmatched front row during the first weekend of NYFW. One of the biggest standouts from the show was indeed the epic footwear that Cowan enlisted the Giuseppe Zanotti archive to inspire.

The young designer, Cowan, says, “Working with Giuseppe Zanotti has been a dream. Not only does he have the true creative flare of an artist, but he is also incredibly kind and so supportive of our combined vision. As a young designer, the opportunity to be able to partner with Giuseppe has been invaluable, his advice and vision have been so helpful and I couldn’t be happier with what we have created together. The opportunity to look back at signature Giuseppe silhouettes and add my own spin on these was one I’ll always treasure. Our maximalist styles married together have created a line of shoes that will be sure to keep you watching."

The collaboration, in turn, is pure magic as Cowan takes Zanotti's "heel-less" staple and implements a timeless twist by adding gold plated watches as the straps on the both the toe and ankle of the shoe, reminding whomever is wearing them to "Never be out of time." Other styles that will become available next year will include glitter biker boots, platinum feather or crystal watch straps sandals screaming, "Don't be bitter, just be glitter."
