If anyone in outer space noticed a big commotion around the Greek islands last week, we have the explanation.
Chrome Horse Society, a multi-award-winning tequila from Founder Jack Morgan, celebrated its one-year anniversary with a three-night sprint between the exclusive, five-star hotel Cavo Tagoo, owned by Morgan’s close friend and local fixture Soula Liakou, as well as Carsten Stehr and Michalis Sigounas’ world-famous JackieO’ Beach Club in Mykonos, Greece. With DJ sets by Cedric Gervais, Eliad Cohen, DMTRI, and ZOTO, plus live performances from Shangela (RuPaul’s Drag Race) and more, the festivities were actually a continuation of a month-long slew of parties Morgan had been throwing at the Greek hotspots. There will be one last “nightcap” to the celebration at Cavo Tagoo, with details to come (follow here to stay in the loop).
Morgan’s guests throughout the month included Dean and Dan Caten of DSquared, Luke Evans, Ricardo Tisci, Edward Enninful, Rickey Thompson, Charles Worthington, Marco and Nuno Moreira, and many, many more.
Last Thursday night with Cedric Gervais was a particularly flashy one, with a breathtaking fireworks display topping off a night many will remember as one of their best ever. Thanks to Morgan’s knack for attention to detail, the staff were also dressed in customized Chrome Horse Society t-shirts by world-renowned British men’s fashion designer Neil Barrett. The collaboration highlighted the brand’s interest in further exploring the intersection between fashion and top-shelf spirits, both of which are passions for Morgan.
About reaching his one-year mark with the tequila brand, which was in part inspired by his equestrian showjumping career and love of horses, Morgan says, “What a spectacular ride it’s been celebrating Chrome Horse Society here in Mykonos. Cavo Tagoo and JackieO’ are two of my favorite places, and commemorating the one-year anniversary of my brand with so many friends from different parts of my life was so special. I couldn’t be happier with our summer-long collaborations with these two truly iconic venues, and I’m excited for the future of Chrome Horse Society and the many more rides to come!”
Having founded Chrome Horse Society in New York City, the brand is distinctive from other tequilas in that it has a more metropolitan focus, inspired by Morgan and his recognizable friends living and making moves in America’s undisputed fashion capital.
“I named this tequila Chrome Horse Society because, ultimately, it’s really made special by the people who drink it, wherever they are,” Morgan says. “I feel very proud, as well as ready and excited for whatever the next years and decades bring.”
