The British brand showcased their Spring/Summer 2026 collection at the historic Piccolo Teatro Studio Melato. Presented in three acts, each one honored Church’s heritage while introducing updated silhouettes.

The presentation was followed by an exclusive cocktail event attended by friends of the brand and notable guests, including ambassador Theo James, French actor William Abadie, Italian actor Eduardo Scarpetta, British actor Ed Speleers, and actress and director Maisie Richardson-Sellers.

For Act I: Shanghai – The Icon Returns, the spotlight was on the Shanghai shoe—first released in 1929 and long considered one of the brand’s most distinctive silhouettes. This season, it returned in multiple variations.

Starting with the The Summer, which offers a lighter version made for warm weather, featuring a soft Goodyear construction and padded leather sole. The Laser introduces a minimalist alternative with a wholecut design crafted from a single piece of leather using precision laser technology, built with flexible Blake soft construction for comfort and ease. Finally, the Essence expands the silhouette into loafers, lace-ups, and ankle boots, all with a deconstructed feel and lightweight construction that speaks to modern versatility.

Shifting to Act II: British Spring – Effortless Elegance, the collection introduced a relaxed lineup that channeled the spirit of the English countryside. Soft suede moc toes and casual Derby styles were crafted entirely in the UK using the brand’s updated Goodyear 2.0 construction. Built for comfort and designed to move effortlessly from day to night, these shoes balanced practicality with refined simplicity—delivering Church’s signature craftsmanship in a lighter, more flexible form.

Later, Act III: Crown – Regal Refinement picks up as the collection transitions toward deeper tones and regal finishes. This final chapter introduces rich shades of deep blue, burgundy, and green across classic silhouettes crafted from natural white “crust” leather. Each pair is hand-finished to highlight its unique character, offering a modern take on Church’s most elevated and refined styles.

Finally, the last act, Curtain Call: An Ode to Expression, brought the presentation to a close with a clear premise: Church’s enduring commitment to footwear as a canvas for personal identity. From heritage to modernity, the Shanghai, British Spring, and Crown lines came together in a unified expression of craftsmanship, comfort, and style.
