Clubhouse, The Newest and Most Exclusive Social Media App
Bringing back the old school internet chatroom in a new and improved way.
You know Instagram. You know Twitter. After 11 months of mind-numbing lockdown, you probably know Tik Tok, too. However, there’s a new social media app taking the app store by storm and its name is Clubhouse.
The platform is different from the rest for its audio-chat only design. That means you won’t spend hours mindlessly scrolling through selfies and videos until your thumb cramps. Clubhouse features exclusive conference calls on moderated topics with industry giants, making it the ultimate networking platform. Its design offers a more human experience, encouraging debate and learning in its various chatrooms catered to diverse topics ranging from NBA game recaps to singing opera.
Its celebrity members are one of the most enticing features of Clubhouse. Celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Chrissy Teigen, and Kevin Hart are already blowing up the app. Elon Musk and Kanye West announced they’ll be making an appearance on the platform.

Clubhouse was founded in March 2020 by Silicon Valley entrepreneurs, Paul Davidson and Rohan Seth, with a pre-launch value of $100 million. By December 2020, its value had skyrocketed to $1 billion with over six million users. Not bad for an app less than one-year-old!
Right now, membership of Clubhouse is by invitation only. Users receive two invites when they sign up to slowly expand members and maintain exclusivity. In January 2021, the company announced plans to fully roll out the platform this year in addition to an Android app.
