CNCO Releases New Album ‘Déjà Vu’
One of the biggest Latin-American groups just released their new album ‘Déjà Vu’
The award-winning, multiplatinum Latin-American group, CNCO, release their highly anticipated third studio album today, Déjà Vu. Featuring the current single “Tan Enamorados,” the album also features additional released tracks “Mis Ojos Lloran Por Ti,” “Hero,” and most recently, “Solo Importas Tú.” The group also revealed their new single “Dejaría Todo” with the accompanying music video, directed by renowned director Carlos Perez.
Déjà Vu starts off with the reimagination of “Tan Enamorados,” the group’s take on the song made popular in the ’80s by Ricardo Montaner. Dropped alongside the Carlos Perez directed visual, the music video paid homage to a major pop culture moment of 1988, the same year the song came out, with references to New Kids On The Block’s, “(You’ve Got It) The Right Stuff” video. The single went #1 in Guatemala, Dominican Republic (pop), and Chile, Top 10 in Mexico, Argentina, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Panama and El Salvador, and Top 20 in Columbia, Ecuador, and Peru.
CNCO also dropped additional tracks “Mis Ojos Lloran Por Ti,” “Hero” and “Solo Importas Tú.” “Mis Ojos Lloran Por Ti,” the 1996 hit song originally by Puerto Rican rapper Big Boy and Angel Lopez, followed the other music video’s theme paying homage to *NSYNC’s “Tearin’ Up My Heart” video. Shortly after, CNCO dropped “Hero,” the 2001 global hit by Enrique Iglesias, marking the group’s first fully English recorded song. And of course, the music video pays homage to Backstreet Boys iconic “Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely” video.
CNCO surprise dropped the video for “Solo Importas Tú” this past week, shooting up the YouTube Trends chart at #2 World Wide and #1 in Mexico, Puerto Rico, among others.
In support of the album, CNCO has recently performed on Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Good Morning America, NBC New Year’s Eve Special, and on Despierta America and En Casa Con Telemundo. The group is also set to perform on the upcoming Premio Lo Nuestro 2021. In addition, CNCO was recently named an honoree on the esteemed annual Forbes 30 Under 30 Music List, Class of 2021. CNCO marked the only Latin act honored in the Class of 2021.
