Coach on the Brain (Dead)

The Coach x Brain Dead collaboration was celebrated last night in Manhattan, as the two brands showcased a carnival with guerrilla-style runway show
While the official collaboration between Coach and Brain Dead launches on May 29, last night in New York, the two brands showcased a carnivalesque preview event and flash runway show to celebrate their much anticipated arrival.

Troye Sivan, Lourdes Leon, Suni Lee, and Ella Emhoff were in attendance as guests enjoyed rides, mini golf, mascots, and amusement park-style games and snacks. Mura Masa and Francesca Kellser provided entertainment with performances and DJs sets. Amidst the theme park of it all, however, there soon emerged another burst of joy–a pop-up runway right in the middle of the party.

Parting the audience’s seas, models arrived wearing the Coach x Brain Dead collection, combining Coach’s heritage aesthetic with Brain Dead’s Tokyo-inflected street style. It was a cascade of pleated skirts, denim, knits, jerseys, skater shorts, suede, and button-downs, all accented with Brain Dead’s signature mascots and charms. This included Coach’s own beloved Tabby, Waverly, and Empire bags, embellished with Brain Dead designs and accoutrements in addition to a new lunchbox-esque style.

The collection’s next stop is Selfridges, where it will preview for two weeks before its global launch. You’ll be able to find it in both Brain Dead and Coach stores, on their websites, and with select vendors.
