In the midst of a slew of anti-LGBTQ legislation throughout the United States, Converse is remaining firm in its commitment to social justice and support of the LGBTQIA+ community with the return of its annual Pride collection.

Grammy-Award winner and LGBTQIA+ icon, Big Freedia will be the face of the new campaign, along with various Converse All-Star community members like singer Eva Westphal, artist, Yeliz Aifoglu, and creative producer, Xavier ‘Internet X’ Means.

The collection of sneakers and apparel includes the Run Star Legacy CX, Chuck 70 De Luxe Heel, Chuck 70 Plus, Chuck 70, Chuck Taylor All-Star Lift, and Chuck Taylor All-Star with each shoe highlighting its own unique designs and embellishments. Some examples include eye-catching glitter covering the Chuck 70 De Luxe Heel or Pride shoe laces to go with the sneaker of your choice. Designed by LGBTQ employees and allies, this line of shoes uses the pride flag to represent progress, empowerment, and visibility.

Pride is about embracing differences and individuality and to truly hit the nail on the head, Converse is utilizing their personalization platform, Converse By You, to give every customer the option to show what makes them unique within their community.

To demonstrate their long-lasting and continued support of the community, the shoe brand has pledged $2.5 million in annual grants to various organizations ranging from small towns to across the globe. In 2023, Converse has chosen global partner It Gets Better Project, with whom they’ve had a long relationship and will provide funding to assist in the expansion of IGBP Español.
