Partnering with Aperture—a nonprofit publisher that leads conversations around photography worldwide—the fund will be free and open to any photographer or lens-based artist living in the United States from June 18-July 15, 2024. The Creator Labs Photo Fund is open to any creative regardless of experience, stating, “Entrants will not be evaluated on the basis of prior experience, publications, or exhibition history, but instead on the strength and originality of their vision.”

Since the start of the Creator Labs Photo Fund in 2021, 50 artists have been awarded grants. One awardee, Tommy Kha, shares, “The impact of receiving a Creator Labs Fund came at a time of a lot of doubt and deprioritizing picture making. The grant allowed me to realize a few photographs that led to new threads. I’m forever grateful for the set of eyes on my work and for the chance to satisfy my curiosities.”

To apply to the Creator Labs Photo Fund, entrants will need to submit 8 to 10 images from one body of work, showing the ability to create a compelling series or project. However, the project does not need to be finished in order to enter. Submissions will be accepted from June 18-July 15, 2024.
