Cult Favorite J’adior Slingback Pump Gains New Sister Shoe

Dior just reinvented its iconic J’adior slingback heel for its Fall 2019 collection and you’ll be seeing it everywhere.

The fashion universe woke up to thrilling, jump-up-and-down-in-your-seat, googly-eyed news this morning. Dior’s coveted J’adior slingback shoe, which has been a closet must-have for influencers and celebrities since its release in the label’s Spring 2017 show in Paris, has gained a new sister-shoe. The fashion house introduced a new variation of the shoe now available on Dior.com and across boutiques globally as part of the Fall 2019 collection.

A part of her Dior debut, the J’adior line was the labor of love of Maria Grazia Chiuri, the label’s creative director and first female artistic director. With a J’adior-printed ribbon and clean-cut comma heel, the shoe boasts the same feminine spirit that Chiuri was known for during her time at Valentino.

The shoe’s most distinctive quality—undoubtedly the ribbon—is amped up a notch in the J’adior family’s new variation. This time, the embroidered ribbon encases the entire rim of the pump, offered in black technical canvas. Three different heel heights, all covered in lambskin, are offered: 10 centimeters, 6.5 centimeters and 1 centimeter. Also available, is the reinvented J’adior embroidered ballet flat.

The newest edition is a breath of fresh air for the J’adior collection and will no doubt flood your feed the same way it did back in 2017 with the original line. Head to Dior.com to grab your pair before they sell out and watch the video above to see the making of this cult-favorite heel.
